Does anybody who comes here ever watch the national guilty pleasure "American Idol"? Shawn and I have watched every season. Do you remember the underdog redhead with a goofy smile from Season 5, Elliott Yamin who placed third? I sure do. His soulful and smooth vocals resembling Stevie Wonder were my favorite. He went to the correct route by releasing an album from an independent label and did very well with it. He is coming to Tokyo to perform at our favorite venue "Billboard Live" at the end of August, and we got tickets for a sofa seating for two overlooking the stage. I am so looking forward to seeing him and hearing him perform! If you haven't heard his singing, I recommend his smash hit "Wait for You" and funky fresh "Moving On" on iTunes.

A search of Elliott Yamin led me here. You are soooo lucky to be hearing him live in concert. He is beyond awesome!!I was fortunate enough to hear him twice last year. I am sure thsy you will have a wonderful time. Please come back and tell all about it in your blog. He has not toured this year in the States and I am missing that voice live. Can't wait for his new album coming some time in the fall.

Thanks for your nice comments! Wow you have already seen him live twice. I just bought his album on iTunes and got blown away by his incredible vocals and range of style. He is a true pro now! He will perform two shows a night for three days in Tokyo and also in Osaka and Fukuoka. Tokyo venue is small (a few hundred capacity-all seated), and we will have an awesome view of him on stage as well. He seems to be very well received in Japan. I will be sure to put the details of the show in my blog for you!
I believe that Elliott is in Japan now! Is your show soon? I can't wait to hear what you think of him live in concert. and to hear all about it! I just know you will love him.
